Fundraising + Community building:
A 20-year leader in conservation, Environmental Protection in the Caribbean (EPIC) works across dozens of islands in the Caribbean. But their most daunting task? Raising their annual operating budget.
solution
This eight-year project began in Haiti telling powerful stories to donors and grantmakers that transported them to EPIC’s unique conservation / humanitarian approach through film and photography.
Then we pivoted to community building and partnerships by telling stories written and voiced in Haitian Creole for the communities themselves screened in remote villages using solar power. This birthed a film festival, educational program, and soccer tournament that built a sense of accomplishment and sustained momentum. Now the annual Diablotin Festival, the event is 100% Haitian-run.
Finally, we rebranded EPIC to compete with other world-class NGOs and built them an interactive storytelling website.
All these efforts achieved the primary goals of raising their annual budget but also united a community and built civic and non-profit partnerships they would not have created without the power of visual storytelling.
testimonial
EPIC has finally raised the capital we need to fully support our international conservation and humanitarian projects. We couldn’t have done that without Soulcraft Allstars’ storytelling.
